Starbucks GF Valencia Cake

I'm SO upset! as I'm sure most of you heard, Starbucks decided to discontinue their Gluten Free Valencia Orange Cake - ALREADY! ( Well, they didn't listen for too long! I REALLY liked it, and I am not an "orange" fan- but the taste and flavor was VERY good, and it was so awesome to be able to go into a Starbucks and order a coffee along with an individually wrapped GF Cake! This is so annoying.

I am asking all of my readers (yes, all 3 of you) and anyone who happens upon my blog to write in to Starbucks and COMPLAIN and ask that the GF Valencia cake remain in their product line!!! Here is the link to the "my starbucks idea" forum where you can provide feedback (I started a link- you just need to "sign in" to Starbucks)-

Update: VOTE and comment on this link as well called "marketing" on the starbucks site (they merged mine with his)

I can't believe it. I so appreciate you posting this news, Sue. I like you, was happy that I could actually eat something in Starbucks if I wished to do so.

Funny thing about the article, it says that it was too much of a treat, and not nutritious enough. If you look at the selection of pastries that they have at Starbucks, the other choices are not really nutritious either. I think it's just an excuse because sales were not as good as they hoped for. Too much production work, and not enough sales.

Hi Jen,
Yes, you are correct- I can't believe their "REASON"! ugh! What's funny is that every time I wnet in, the majority of times they were "sold out" of the GF cakes- one time they thought they were all gone and someone else overheard and told the woman helping me that she just saw the shipment come in with them and they grabbed it from the back- if it was always "sold out"- unless they were only shipping them 3 of them at a time- people were buying them!! SO ANNOYING.
So lets us rally and get them to keep it- or replace it with something OTHER than KIND fruit bars- which do NOT make a good "coffee and cake" type meal!

Disheartening news. Once I read your update, I left comment at Starrbuck's forum explaining how it's time for my friends and me to return the less expensive coffee houses.

Oh no! How sad!

They also had a really good gluten free chili-chocolate brownie for a nanosecond once that was delicious and then I never saw it again. I usually end up just buying cashews. :(
