Mrs. Alaska makes Living with Celiac Disease her speaking platform

This is so cool! The newly crowned Mrs. Alaska has made Celiac Disease her platform to speak about during her reign of Mrs. Alaska 2011. Brandy Wendler, was crowned Mrs. Alaska in April 2011 and has chosen “Against the Grain, Raising Awareness for Celiac Disease” as her platform, as she herself was diagnosed with Celiac Disease 3 years ago. Being a fellow Celiac, Mrs. Alaska (Brandy Wendler) has developed a passion for speaking to others to help educate them on this disease. This was her first time competing in a pageant and while she was speaking as reported in her press release she “stole the hearts of the judges and the entire audience” and “has already begun making appearances throughout the community to increase awareness and support public health”. Mrs. Alaska, Brandy Wendler, currently lives in Eagle River, and is available for appearances and speaking engagements. More information, including her public calendar and Mrs. Alaska blog, is available on . This is very exciting to hear that Mrs. Alaska is using her title to help spread the word and educate others on Celiac Disease!!
